02 Navigating the screen
Mouse controls, display modes, the part tree and the dimensions panel.
Mouse controls (orbit · pan · zoom)
To match the mouse preset of the software, change the preset under [Settings → Interface].
Orbit
Left-click and drag.
Pan
Drag with the mouse wheel.
Zoom
Scroll the mouse wheel.
Display modes
Atlas provides four shading modes.
Shaded Ctrl + 4
Displays surfaces without outlines.
Shaded with edges Ctrl + 6
Displays edges over the surfaces for clearer shapes.
Hidden lines Ctrl + 5
Displays edges behind the part as dashed lines to reveal internal structure.
Wireframe Ctrl + 7
Hides surfaces and displays only the wireframe.
Part tree
Load an assembly and the part tree is automatically built on the right. Original part names and colors are preserved, and you can control visibility, color, and transparency for each component.
Dimensions panel
The selected part’s bounding box, volume, surface area, polygon (triangle) count, and vertex count are calculated live. Select multiple parts to see their combined values.
