04 Defect inspection

Cross-sections, a wall-thickness color map, and mesh diagnosis.

Cross-section

Use cutting planes along the X, Y, and Z axes to inspect the internal geometry in real time. Drag the slider to move the cutting plane or reverse the section direction, making internal voids, undercuts, and interference areas easy to identify.

Wall thickness check Shift + W

Areas below the threshold are visualized as a color map on the model surface. Set the minimum and maximum thickness thresholds to see areas at risk of incomplete filling in injection molding or breakage in 3D printing.

Mesh diagnosis

Analyzes and identifies open edges (unclosed geometry), flipped normals, non-manifold edges, and self-intersections. Use it as a pre-manufacturing check before sending mesh (STL) data to production.
